Marketing Services

From time to time we may work with Google AdWords or similar marketing services. Anti-fraud Screening

We don't rent or sell private information to marketers or any other 3rd parties. We only disclose your details with trusted companies for the purposes described below:

We use service providers to enable us to perform certain tasks, such as email delivery, website hosting, auditing, data analysis, IT, identity authentication and payment processing. We grant these service providers permission to use or share certain select private information only where absolutely essential to the performance of their services for us, or where legally required to do so. You have options relating to the private information we use or share. You may receive marketing communications from us if you have given us your contact details, and have: requested information from us, purchased goods or services from us, provided us with explicit consent. You have the right to opt-out of these marketing communications and manage your preferences at any time. If you decide you wish to stop receiving  marketing emails, please use the unsubscribe link or email your request to us. We will endeavor to fulfill your desire as soon as is practically possible. However, please be advised that you may still receive emails from us containing essential information relating to any of our hunts or merchandise that you have purchased from us. If you want to examine, amend, or revise any private details you have already  submitted to us, please do this by logging into your account or by emailing us.

Purchasing From Us

We do not gather or save any payment card information. If you decide to purchase any merchandise or clues from us, you will be asked to provide the info directly to our 3rd party payment processor, who will complete the transaction on our behalf. The use of your private details is regulated by their own Privacy Policy. Payment processors must abide by strict rules laid out by the PCI-DSS which, in turn, is managed by the PCI SSC (a joint effort of the major credit card companies), helping to ensure the safe processing of your payment details. The personal details you will be required to submit in order to complete your purchase may include, but are not limited to: your full name, email address, credit or debit card number, expiry date and CVV or CVC number, the billing address of the payment card and the shipping address of the recipient (if any merchandise is to be delivered). You maintain and affirm that you have a legal entitlement to the payment method used for any purchases, and that all personal details you provide to us are accurate and unabridged. By purchasing from us you afford us the authority to supply your personal details to 3rd party payment processors to fulfill the transaction. We currently use Paypal and Wix for the processing of all online purchases. If this changes, we will update it here. If you are not comfortable supplying your payment information to a 3rd party processor via a link through this site then you may not purchase any merchandise or services from us. The payment processor will also collect your IP address and details of the order to be fulfilled (such as purchase price, order date etc.) Once your payment transaction is completed, the processor will relay the details of your order back to us so that we can then fulfill it (minus of course any payment details).

Our payment processors implement many security controls to protect your details such as encrypting all sensitive data sent, received or saved, using the HTTPS protocol, and by salting and hashing passwords using bcrypt.

Website Forum & File Sharing

You acknowledge and agree that if you join the forum community on our website by checking the appropriate box, all other logged in members can view the profile that you have uploaded, including your name, profile photo, profile description and anything you post or comment on, including any photos, videos or other files you share. You will have the option to follow other user's profiles and allow them to follow yours if you so choose, in the same way that you would on similar social media channels. This service is an optional part of membership and you may decline this part of the service whilst still being a member of our site. Other members can only view your user profile, and will not have access to your private member account details such as your email address, your orders, and any stored delivery addresses, whether you join the community or not.

GDPR & ePrivacy

Please be advised that we collect, process and store the information and personal data you submit to us through this website in relation to your purchase of products and services from us. All processing of data will be carried out in accordance with your individual rights as defined by the European Union’s ePrivacy and General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR). You acknowledge that by submitting information about yourself through this site, you are agreeing for us to process and store that information. The data shall be stored only for the duration outlined by the purpose for collection. We never store or process your data longer than we need to, and we do not use your data for any purpose other than that you have agreed to. For accounting purposes, we store data relating to transactions, payments and orders for a period of up to seven years. This period may be extended under certain circumstances as part of our ongoing commitment to comply with relevant law. When you purchase goods or services from us, we use carefully selected and recognised 3rd parties to help us take payments, provide e-commerce services and manage our company accounts. Some of these 3rd parties may operate outside the European Union. We currently use Paypal and Stripe to process all card payments on our behalf. Under the GDPR, it is necessary for processors and controllers to administer suitable organisational and technological measures. We have put into practice the processes and controls necessary for us to be in compliance with the GDPR, including: Restricting access to personal information, securing access and attainability to personal information if a technical or physical incident were to occur, regularly evaluating, testing and assessing our organisational and technological security procedures and monitoring and logging of data processing activities. As part of our ongoing commitment to GDPR compliance, if we become aware of any security breaches or attempted breaches, we will report them to the relevant authorities within 24 hours. We will subsequently contact all those affected by any breach within 72 hours of its occurrence.

The right to ask us if we have collected any private details about you, and if we have, to receive a copy of this information, if you so desire.

The right to ask us to minimise our use of your private details whilst we are carrying out another of your requests, such as amending or revising your details.

If you have the legal grounds to do so and you desire to exercise any of these rights, please contact us by email. We will adhere to any appeal to the degree demanded by any relevant laws. In order to protect your details from possible fraud, it may be necessary to authenticate your identity prior to carrying out your wishes, such as checking that the email you use to send an appeal matches the email we have on file for you.

We will be unable to comply if we are no longer storing any of your details.

We take all the appropriate steps necessary to provide a level of security proportionate to the risks relating to the processing of your private details, and have implemented a series of technological, administrative and organisational security procedures aimed at safeguarding the private details we manage within our corporation from unsanctioned access, disclosure, amendment, misplacement, deletion or abuse. reason to access that information. Those individuals or organisations will only ever process or access your personal data upon our explicit instructions & they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. Although
 every effort is made, unfortunately it is not possible for any data cache or transmitting system to be completely secure. If you have even the slightest notion that your communications with us, or your account, or the details we hold about you may not be secure, you are advised to email us immediately.

Retention of Details

If you have registered for an account with us we will hold your private details all the while you maintain your account. We will continue to keep a hold of your details even if you close your account, for the duration necessary for us to abide by any legal or official commitments, as well as implementing fraud screening, protection and preclusion. It may also be necessary for us to hold on to certain private details for the purpose of accounting, financial reporting and taxation commitments. Whenever we keep a hold of private details, we do so in conformance with any restriction intervals and retention of records commitments, as regulated by relevant laws.

No Access to Minors

We do not knowingly or willingly sell or provide products or services to anyone under the age of majority where they reside. We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 (or the legal age where they reside if higher) to sign up for an account or provide any private information to us. We cannot be held responsible for accepting information by minors who have breached this rule. If it is brought to our attention that a minor has somehow been able to sign up for an account with us, we will do our upmost to rectify the matter as soon as possible.
